On matchday

The new Celtic Park was built to create an enclosed and intimidating atmosphere for big games: the North, Jock Stein and Lisbon Lions stands form one continuous two-tier wall around three sides. Since 2016 a section of 2,975 rail seats in the Lisbon Lions Stand lets fans stand. In a 2002 BBC Radio 5 Live poll it took 60% of the votes as the UK's favourite sports venue.
