What makes it special

On matchday

The Gallowgate End at the south is the traditional home of the loudest fans, Newcastle's answer to Liverpool's Kop. The singing section has since gathered in the Strawberry Corner, between the Gallowgate and the East Stand, next to the Strawberry pub. The ground stands in the city centre, so most fans walk in through town.
