On matchday

The noise traditionally comes from the West Stand, the Stretford End, where the hard-core United fans are located. When its second tier opened in 2000, fans from the old K Stand moved up there and hung banners and flags from the barrier at the front. Bobby Charlton nicknamed the ground the “Theatre of Dreams”.
