On matchday

In the first league season after the 2023 rebuild River averaged 83,812 at home. The ground has held more: about 100,000 saw River play Racing for the 1975 title, and San Lorenzo, with no ground of their own, brought more than 70,000 fans to a second-division game in 1982, a record for a visiting team.
